About CBC
CBC is a pre-professional youth ballet company that develops, fosters and promotes the performance and appreciation of classical and contemporary ballet within our dancers and community.
Our dancers perform in several high level performances each season including The Nutcracker, rotating original story ballets, and mixed repertory showcases, in addition to participating in community outreach events. We strive to supply our dancers with valuable artistic and technical experiences as well as a strong support system of peers and mentors.
Our alumni have gone on to attend many prestigious colleges/universities for both dance and non-dance related majors. In addition, we have many alumni who are current or former professional dancers at companies like Ballet West, Colorado Ballet, Ballet Austin, Deos Contemporary Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and many more.
Company Auditions
2025-2026 Season

Acton School of Ballet

Auditions for unpaid company positions with Commonwealth Ballet for the August 2025 to June 2026 season will take place in Studio 3 of Acton School of Ballet on Saturday, May 31st, 2025. This will be the only opportunity to audition and video applications are not accepted. Current Company Dancers are required to audition yearly. Registration closes at midnight Thursday May 29th! Results will be emailed by June 20th.
What to Know:
There is a non-refundable $30 audition fee, payable at registration.
Please arrive at 12:30pm to check-in and prepare for the audition.
Dancers must bring a current resume and headshot to the audition. - (This does not need to be a professional photo - as long as background is clean/clear!)
Female-identifying dancers must wear a black leotard, pink tights, and be prepared to audition en pointe.
Male-identifying dancers should wear tights, a solid color T-shirt or leotard, and ballet slippers.
Dancers must be at least 14 years old by September 1, 2025, OR a rising Level 8 student from ASB.
A panel of independent, professional teachers/artists and ballet masters adjudicate the audition.
The audition will conclude at roughly 2:00pm.
